Yan Diomande: “Playing for Real Madrid Is a Dream Come True”

“When Real Madrid calls you, you can’t say no. It’s the best club in the world,” the forward explained in an interview with Realmadrid TV.

Yan Diomande has spoken to Realmadrid TV about his first days as a Real Madrid player, sharing his emotions after completing his opening training sessions with the Spanish giants. The young attacker admitted that joining the club represents the fulfillment of a childhood dream and a major milestone in his career.

“I’m proud and happy because this was my dream,” Diomande said. “When I was a child, I wanted to play for the biggest clubs in the world. I’m grateful to be here, and I feel very happy and proud. I want my family to be proud of me as well.”

The forward did not hide his admiration for Real Madrid, describing the club as the ultimate destination for any ambitious footballer.

“It’s the biggest club in the world, and everyone wants to come here. I’m grateful to have this opportunity, and I want to share my happiness with everyone. I want to be part of the team’s success.”

Diomande also took the opportunity to thank the coaching staff and the Real Madrid hierarchy for the confidence they have placed in him. He revealed that he had spoken with the coach before completing his move.

“I want to thank the coach because we had a conversation beforehand. I’m here thanks to him and, of course, thanks to the club. I’m very happy. Thank you for making this transfer possible, and thank you to the club and the coach for believing in me.”

Sharing a Dressing Room With Stars

For Diomande, joining Real Madrid also means training alongside players he previously watched from afar.

“It’s always good to have great players in the dressing room because you can learn from them. Like I said, I used to watch these players on television, and now we’re sharing the same dressing room. It’s incredible.”

The youngster has already noticed the level of intensity and expectation that comes with representing Real Madrid.

“It’s different here. It’s harder, but that’s normal because this is the biggest club. You have to work harder than at other clubs if you want to be the best in the world. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do.”

Speaking about his personality, Diomande admitted that he is naturally reserved but eager to understand the dynamics of his new team.
