Mbappé, Cucurella, Diomande and Konaté Complete Afternoon Training Session at Real Madrid City
Kylian Mbappé, Marc Cucurella, Yan Diomande and Ibrahima Konaté continued their preparations for the new season by completing a demanding afternoon training session at Real Madrid City.
The four players took part in a double training session on Tuesday as they continue working toward full fitness ahead of the start of the competitive campaign. After training with the rest of the squad during the morning session, Mbappé, Cucurella, Diomande and Konaté returned to the training pitches later in the day for additional work.
None of the four players have been included in the squad selected to face Deportivo de La Coruña in the 81st edition of the Teresa Herrera Trophy, which will take place on Wednesday at Riazor Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 9:00 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on Realmadrid TV and RM Play.
Rather than travelling with the team, the players remained at Real Madrid’s training complex to continue building their physical condition and adapting to the demands of the upcoming season.
The afternoon session was described as particularly intense and included exercises both with and without the ball. The coaching staff focused on physical conditioning, technical drills and individual preparation as the players work toward reaching their optimal competitive level.
For Mbappé, the session represents another important step after recently returning to club duties. The French forward is gradually increasing his workload as he prepares for what promises to be another demanding season with Real Madrid.
Cucurella and Konaté, meanwhile, are continuing their integration into the squad after joining up with their new teammates. Both players have already begun adapting to the training methods and tactical requirements of the coaching staff, and these additional sessions are designed to accelerate that process.
The same applies to Yan Diomande, who has also been working intensively since joining Real Madrid. The young attacker is continuing to familiarise himself with his new surroundings while improving his physical condition ahead of the beginning of official competition.

Real Madrid’s coaching staff are carefully managing the workload of the squad during the final stages of pre-season. While one group prepares to face Deportivo in the Teresa Herrera Trophy, other players are following personalised programmes designed to ensure they are ready for the challenges ahead.
The club is therefore using every training opportunity to improve fitness levels, tactical understanding and overall rhythm before the competitive season begins.
For Mbappé, Cucurella, Diomande and Konaté, Tuesday’s double session was another significant step in that preparation. Their absence from the squad travelling to Riazor allows them to concentrate fully on physical and technical work at Real Madrid City.
With the new season approaching, the objective is clear: arrive in the best possible condition and be ready to contribute when competitive football officially gets underway.
