Real Madrid C.F. and Vinicius Jr. have reached an agreement to extend the Brazilian star’s contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2032.
The new deal confirms Vinicius Jr.’s long-term commitment to Real Madrid and underlines the club’s confidence in one of the most influential players of its recent history. After several years of remarkable performances at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Brazilian international will continue to wear the famous white shirt for many more seasons.

Vinicius Jr. joined Real Madrid in July 2018 at just 18 years old, arriving as one of the most promising young talents in world football. Since then, he has developed into a global superstar and one of the most decisive attacking players in the game.
Across his eight seasons with Real Madrid, Vinicius has made 375 appearances, scored 128 goals and played a major role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s modern history.
During that time, he has won an impressive 14 trophies: two UEFA Champions League titles, three FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, three La Liga championships, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.
His impact on those victories has been enormous. With his speed, dribbling, creativity, assists and ability to score decisive goals, Vinicius has repeatedly delivered on the biggest stages.
Perhaps the clearest example of his importance came in the Champions League finals. Vinicius scored the winning goal against Liverpool in Paris in 2022, securing Real Madrid’s historic 14th European Cup. Two years later, he found the net again in the 2024 Champions League final at Wembley in London, helping Madrid defeat Borussia Dortmund and lift “La Decimoquinta” — the club’s 15th European crown.
His performances have also earned him major individual recognition.
Vinicius Jr. won The Best FIFA Men’s Player award in 2024 and was named the Golden Ball winner of the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup. He was also voted the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign.
Earlier in his Madrid career, he received the Golden Ball at the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup and was named the Champions League Young Player of the Season for 2021-22.
Vinicius has also been selected among football’s elite on several occasions. He was included in the FIFA World XI in 2024, named in the FIFA FIFPro World11 in both 2023 and 2024, and selected in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season three consecutive times — 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.
