OFFICIAL: Real Madrid’s starting XI against Ferencváros

Real Madrid have officially confirmed their starting lineup for their pre-season friendly against Ferencvaros at the Ferencváros Stadion in Budapest. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on Realmadrid TV and RM Play.

José Mourinho has opted for a mix of established first-team players and promising youngsters as Real Madrid continue their preparations for the new season. The Portuguese coach is once again using the pre-season period to assess different combinations, give opportunities to academy players and gradually increase the physical condition of his squad.

Andriy Lunin starts in goal and will be protected by a back four featuring Denzel Dumfries, Mario Rivas, Joan Martínez and Álvaro Carreras. Dumfries and Carreras are expected to provide attacking width from the full-back positions, while youngsters Mario Rivas and Joan Martínez will have another important opportunity to impress in central defence.

In midfield, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga provide experience, intensity and physical strength. Both players are expected to play key roles during the upcoming campaign, and this friendly gives Mourinho another chance to develop their understanding in the centre of the pitch.

Arda Güler also starts and could operate in a more advanced midfield role. The Turkish international will be one of the players to watch as he looks to establish himself as an increasingly important figure in Real Madrid‘s attacking system.
