“We know what Mourinho represents, everything he has won, and we want to continue winning with him,” Brahim Díaz told Realmadrid TV.
The Real Madrid attacking midfielder spoke to the club’s official television channel following the latest pre-season training session. During the interview, he discussed his return to the squad, the intensity of the team’s preparations, José Mourinho’s methods and his personal ambitions for the new season.
“I was really looking forward to coming back, being here again and seeing my teammates,” Brahim explained. “I have a lot of ambition for this season, and I am extremely happy to be back.”
An intense pre-season
Brahim acknowledged that the training sessions have been demanding, but he believes the physical workload will help the players reach their best condition before the start of the competitive campaign.
“The training sessions are going very well. They are extremely physical, with a lot of effort and intensity,” he said. “That helps us a great deal as we prepare for the season. The most important thing is to be at one hundred percent.”
The Spanish-Moroccan international also emphasised the high standards expected from every player representing Real Madrid.
“We have to continue winning because this is Real Madrid,” he added. “We need to try to win every match and prepare ourselves in the best possible way. This is a very good pre-season preparation.”
Working under José Mourinho
Brahim also shared his first impressions of working with Mourinho and the Portuguese coach’s technical staff. He praised their professionalism and highlighted the importance Mourinho places on intensity, teamwork and sacrifice.
“Everything is going very well because Mourinho and his entire coaching staff are extremely well prepared,” Brahim said. “We already know what Mourinho represents and everything he has won. We want to continue winning with him.”
“He tells us that we must play with intensity. We have a lot of individual quality and players who can make the difference, but in the end, hard work is incredibly important.”
According to Brahim, Mourinho wants his players to understand that individual talent alone will not be enough to achieve success.
“He tells us that we need to make sacrifices for one another and perform as a real team,” he continued.
Ambitions for the season
When asked about his personal objectives, Brahim made it clear that his priority is to be physically ready and help Real Madrid compete for trophies.
“My goal is to be at one hundred percent and help the team,” he explained. “Obviously, I will always give everything I have. I can see that the Madrid supporters are also happy with the way I play.”
“Individually, I want to show the best version of myself in every match. Collectively, the most beautiful thing is winning trophies. This is Real Madrid, and at Real Madrid, you have to win titles.”

Brahim concluded by expressing his happiness both professionally and personally.
“I am very happy and extremely motivated to continue enjoying myself on the pitch,” he said. “Football is my passion. Personally, everything is also going very well at home with my family and my wife.”
“Now, I want to continue enjoying what I love, which is playing football for the best club in the world, Real Madrid. We have to keep moving forward, enjoy every moment and always take the positive things from every experience.”
