Bernardo Silva, Vini Jr, and Brahim finally join the squad.

Real Madrid’s squad continues to grow stronger as the club prepares for the next stage of its pre-season schedule. After receiving additional rest because of their participation in the World Cup, Bernardo Silva, Vinicius Junior and Brahim Díaz have officially returned to the Ciudad Real Madrid. The three players have now begun their preparations for the 2026/2027 season under the guidance of José Mourinho.

As required by the club’s protocol for players returning after a long period of competition or vacation, the three Madridistas started their day with a series of medical examinations. Bernardo Silva, Vini Jr. and Brahim travelled to the Blua Sanitas Valdebebas Hospital in the morning, where they underwent several tests designed to assess their physical condition.

These medical examinations allow Real Madrid’s health and performance staff to evaluate the players’ general fitness, recovery levels and readiness to gradually resume team training. Following an especially demanding season that was extended by the World Cup, the club does not want to take any unnecessary risks with players who are expected to play important roles during the new campaign.

Once the medical tests had been completed, the three players made their way to the club’s training facilities in Valdebebas to take part in their first session of the pre-season. Their return represents another important step in Real Madrid’s preparations, as José Mourinho can now work with several key reinforcements in the attacking and creative areas of the team.

Vinicius Junior returned to the pitch after representing Brazil at the World Cup. The talented winger will now focus on gradually recovering his best physical condition before the start of official competition. His speed, acceleration and ability to beat defenders remain major strengths for Real Madrid.

Brahim Díaz also returned to the training centre and began working with the coaching staff. Thanks to his versatility, the attacking midfielder can play on either wing, through the centre or just behind the main striker. His technical qualities and mobility give José Mourinho several tactical options, and the coach is expected to test different attacking combinations during the remaining pre-season matches.

Bernardo Silva, meanwhile, completed his first training session since returning from the World Cup. The Portuguese midfielder is expected to become one of the most influential creators in Real Madrid’s squad. His technical ability, intelligence, movement between the lines and experience at the highest level could quickly make him an essential part of Mourinho’s system.

For their first day back, the three players followed individual programmes adapted to their physical condition. The technical staff are expected to gradually increase their workload over the coming sessions in order to avoid injuries and help them regain their competitive rhythm.

The return of Bernardo Silva, Vinicius Junior and Brahim Díaz is excellent news for Real Madrid. The squad is now moving closer to full strength as the club continues its preparations for the beginning of the new season.
