The team is starting the fourth week of the preseason.

Real Madrid began the fourth week of their pre-season preparations with a new training session at Ciudad Real Madrid. The squad completed the first workout of the day under the supervision of José Mourinho, who continues to increase the intensity of the team’s preparation ahead of the start of the official competitions.

The session was particularly notable for the return of several important players. After completing the usual medical examinations, Vinicius Junior, Brahim Díaz and Bernardo Silva joined their teammates on the training pitches. The three players therefore took part in their first pre-season exercises with the rest of the squad.

Vinicius Jr.’s return is excellent news for José Mourinho. The Brazilian forward remains one of Real Madrid’s main attacking threats and will now gradually work toward recovering his best physical condition before the first competitive matches of the season. Brahim Díaz also returned to group training, while Bernardo Silva began his preparations with the team after joining the squad.

The Real Madrid coaching staff prepared different programmes depending on each player’s physical condition. The footballers who started the friendly match against Fiorentina completed a specific recovery session. This personalised workload was designed to prevent physical overload following an intense match that ended in a 2-2 draw.

The rest of the squad began the session with demanding physical work. The players then took part in several pressing drills aimed at improving collective coordination, intensity and the ability to win the ball back quickly. Mourinho wants to build a team capable of defending aggressively and in an organised manner immediately after losing possession.

Following the opening phase of the session, the Madrid players worked on a series of passing combinations. These exercises were designed to improve the fluidity of the team’s play, passing accuracy and movement between the different lines. The coaching staff also focused on speed of execution and the players’ ability to find solutions quickly in tight spaces.

The training session concluded with finishing exercises. The forwards and attacking midfielders worked on their shooting, combinations and efficiency in front of goal. This final part of the workout allowed Mourinho and his assistants to assess the players’ precision and decision-making in the final third of the pitch.

Dean Huijsen followed an individual programme. The defender first trained inside the club’s facilities before completing personalised work on the pitch without the ball. His workload continues to be carefully managed according to his physical condition.

Raúl Asencio, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo have not yet returned to full group training. The four players continue with their respective recovery programmes under the supervision of the club’s medical and fitness departments.

Real Madrid will continue their preparations with a second training session later in the day. The coaching staff’s main objective is to gradually improve the physical condition of the entire squad while carefully reintegrating the players who returned later from their holidays and international commitments.

The fourth week of pre-season will therefore be an important stage in Mourinho’s preparations. With more key players returning to training, the Portuguese coach can now begin working with a squad that is increasingly close to full strength.
