Jude Bellingham is back at Real Madrid and has already completed his first training sessions under José Mourinho. After returning from international duty with England at the World Cup, the midfielder spoke to Realmadrid TV about his comeback, his first impressions of the new coach and his ambitions for the new season.
The English international was delighted to reunite with the squad after spending several weeks away from Madrid.
“I’m very happy to be back with my teammates and to be working with the new coach,” Bellingham explained. After an intense summer with England, the 23-year-old is now fully focused on the challenges awaiting him at Real Madrid.
Back after the World Cup
Bellingham described the World Cup as an important experience, both personally and collectively.
“The World Cup was a very good experience for me and for my England teammates, but now I’m ready to come back and compete alongside my teammates at Real Madrid. Hopefully, we can win.”
His return gives Mourinho another major option in midfield as the Portuguese coach continues to shape his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Excited to work with Mourinho
One of the subjects Bellingham was most enthusiastic about was his new manager. Despite having only recently begun working with Mourinho, the midfielder admitted that he is particularly excited about the opportunity to learn from such an experienced coach.
“I already feel a connection with him, and it’s a dream for me to work with a coach like Mourinho. I’ve only had one opportunity to see him so far, but I’m very excited to discover what he is like.”
Mourinho’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter at Real Madrid, and Bellingham appears determined to play a central role in the Portuguese manager’s plans.
A demanding pre-season
Bellingham also discussed the physical demands of pre-season training, especially in the summer heat.
“I’m running a lot, with the heat, and playing a lot of football with my teammates. It’s difficult, but it’s good to enjoy it. I really like this kind of suffering.”
After several seasons at the highest level, the Englishman believes he is continuing to mature both as a player and as a person.
“Now I feel a little more like a man and I have more experience. I have a good feeling about this season with the new signings and the new coach.”

Bellingham also reiterated how much playing for Real Madrid means to him.
“It’s an honour and a source of pride for me to play for this club. I hope it will continue for many more years.”
The midfielder concluded his interview with a short message for the Madrid supporters as he prepares for another demanding campaign.
“Hello Madridistas. I’m back to work and compete again. ¡Hala Madrid!”
