Three Real Madrid players have been included among the candidates for the prestigious 2026 Golden Boy award, highlighting once again the Spanish club’s strong commitment to developing and recruiting some of the most promising young talents in world football.
The first list of contenders for this year’s Golden Boy has officially been revealed. As it does every year, Italian newspaper Tuttosport has unveiled an initial ranking featuring 100 young players who will compete for one of the most prestigious individual prizes available to emerging footballers in Europ

The Golden Boy award, now organised in collaboration with Transfermarkt, recognises the best young player competing in one of the 25 European top-flight leagues considered for the ranking. For the 2026 edition, eligible players must have been born on or after January 1, 2006.
Among the 100 names selected in the first list, Real Madrid have three representatives: Yan Diomandé, Endrick and Thiago Pitarch.
Diomandé is one of the most exciting names among Madrid’s new generation. The young attacker recently joined Real Madrid and is regarded as a player with enormous potential. His pace, technical ability and capacity to create danger in the final third have already made him one of the young players to watch closely. His inclusion in the Golden Boy list represents another important recognition of his rapid development.
Endrick is another Real Madrid player competing for the prize. The Brazilian forward has been considered one of the biggest talents of his generation for several years. Despite the intense competition for places in Madrid’s attacking department, Endrick continues to attract attention thanks to his finishing ability, physical strength and explosive style of play.
Still very young, the Brazilian will hope to earn more playing time and establish himself as an important option for Real Madrid during the 2026-27 campaign. A strong season could significantly increase his chances of moving higher in the Golden Boy rankings.
The third Madrid representative is Thiago Pitarch, one of the most highly rated players to have emerged from the club’s academy. His presence among the 100 candidates is particularly encouraging for Real Madrid, as it underlines the quality of the talent continuing to emerge from La Fábrica.

Pitarch has impressed with his maturity, technical quality and understanding of the game, qualities that have allowed him to attract increasing attention despite his young age.
Having three players among the Golden Boy candidates is another positive sign for Real Madrid’s long-term project. The club continues to combine established world-class stars with some of the best young prospects available.
The competition for the 2026 Golden Boy will undoubtedly be fierce, with many of Europe’s brightest talents involved. However, Diomandé, Endrick and Pitarch will all hope that their performances this season can take them deeper into the race and perhaps allow one of them to eventually succeed in winning one of European football’s most celebrated awards for young players.
