Real Madrid : The date for Militão’s return has been set.

Real Madrid will have to wait a little longer before welcoming Eder Militao back into the squad. The Brazilian centre-back is still working through his recovery programme, but the latest signs coming from Valdebebas are encouraging.

Militao has recently been spotted running on the training pitches at the Ciudad Real Madrid and carrying out individual exercises with the ball. Seeing the defender back in his boots, moving freely and working with the ball represents an important step forward after another difficult period on the sidelines.

Real Madrid : The date for Militão's return has been set.

The Brazilian has endured several serious physical setbacks in recent years, particularly with knee injuries, so Real Madrid are determined to manage his recovery with extreme caution. There is no intention to rush him back into competitive action, even if his rehabilitation continues to progress positively.

Positive news from Valdebebas

Speaking on Cadena COPE, journalist Melchor Ruiz provided an optimistic update regarding the defender’s condition.

“For me, there is some very good news, and that is that I saw Eder Militao wearing his boots, running and touching the ball individually. It is excellent news for the Brazilian and for Real Madrid. They believe they can have him back in October, provided he continues with this positive progression,” Ruiz explained.

Real Madrid are therefore currently targeting October for Militao’s return. However, everything will depend on how his body responds during the next stages of rehabilitation.

The Spanish giants know the importance of patience. After suffering two major knee injuries in recent seasons, Militao will need to regain not only his physical condition but also confidence, rhythm and sharpness before returning to José Mourinho’s competitive plans.

His comeback would be a significant boost for the Portuguese coach. Mourinho currently has several options at centre-back, including Antonio Rüdiger, Dean Huijsen, Ibrahima Konaté and Raul Asencio, but another experienced defender would provide greater depth during what promises to be a demanding season.

Real Madrid could still consider strengthening the position before the end of the transfer window. Mourinho would reportedly welcome another central defender, although Asencio’s uncertain situation could have an influence on the club’s final decision.

Six to eight weeks before joining the group

For now, Militao must continue working away from the rest of the squad. The next few weeks will be crucial as the medical and fitness staff gradually increase his workload.

If everything continues according to plan, the Brazilian could be ready to resume full team training within approximately six to eight weeks. From there, he would need additional sessions before being considered for competitive matches.

There is still some distance to cover, but the latest developments provide genuine optimism inside Real Madrid.

After another long and frustrating rehabilitation process, Militao can finally begin to see the end of the tunnel. His return in October would give Mourinho another major defensive option and allow the Brazilian international to begin a new chapter after a challenging period marked by injuries.
