Real Madrid are reportedly very satisfied with the work completed during the current summer transfer window. With less than two weeks remaining before the market officially closes, the club’s hierarchy believes that its recruitment business is practically finished and is not currently expecting to complete any additional signings.
According to Marca, Real Madrid consider their transfer window to be 95% closed, with the remaining 5% reserved for unexpected circumstances that could force the club to reconsider its plans before the official deadline on August 31.
Those exceptional situations would mainly involve a serious injury to an important member of the squad or an unexpected departure that would leave José Mourinho short of options in a specific position. In such a scenario, Real Madrid would be prepared to return to the market and find a suitable replacement.
Marca reports that the Madrid hierarchy is pleased with the way the club has handled its summer business. Most negotiations were completed without lengthy transfer sagas, although the signing of Yan Diomande required more time than initially expected because of several secondary details surrounding the agreement with Leipzig.
Meanwhile, the so-called “Rodri case” has not changed Real Madrid’s strategy. Despite reports linking the Spanish giants with a move for Martin Zubimendi, the club’s management has repeatedly denied that the midfielder was being seriously considered as an alternative.
However, Real Madrid’s midfield could still become the decisive factor during the final days of the transfer window. According to Marca, the situation could change if Premier League clubs submit major offers for Aurélien Tchouaméni or Eduardo Camavinga.
Several English clubs have reportedly shown interest in both French midfielders during the summer. Should either player leave unexpectedly, Real Madrid would consider that departure an exceptional circumstance and could immediately look for reinforcement.
Nevertheless, such a scenario currently appears difficult. The club is not actively looking to sell either player and would only reconsider its position if an extremely attractive proposal arrived.
This approach is consistent with recent comments made by Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho, who suggested that he is already satisfied with the squad available to him.

“I’m not saying there won’t be any more deals because the transfer market is still open,” Mourinho explained. “But if you ask me directly whether the market is closed for me, then yes, it is closed.”
Real Madrid have already completed six signings this summer, in addition to welcoming Endrick back into the squad. The club has also made several changes to the first-team coaching staff as part of Mourinho’s return.
After an active summer involving recruitment, departures and structural changes, Real Madrid believe they have built a competitive squad capable of challenging for every major trophy this season. Unless an unexpected injury or significant departure occurs before August 31, the club’s summer transfer business can therefore be considered virtually complete.
