Real Madrid currently consider their summer transfer business complete, but the club have not completely ruled out making another signing before the September 1 deadline. Only one scenario could convince the board to return to the market: a departure from the current squad.
The summer transfer window has entered its final week, leaving European clubs with little time to complete their remaining business. Real Madrid have already been extremely active this summer, strengthening several positions, but there could still be movement at the Santiago Bernabéu before the market officially closes.
Two players are particularly involved in the situation: Eduardo Camavinga and Raúl Asencio.
For the moment, neither player is pushing to leave Real Madrid. Camavinga, in particular, remains determined to continue his career in the Spanish capital. The French midfielder still sees himself as an important part of José Mourinho’s project and has no intention of forcing an exit.
However, football can change quickly during the final days of a transfer window. A major last-minute offer from an ambitious European club could potentially make Camavinga reconsider his position. Real Madrid would then have to evaluate the financial proposal and the sporting consequences of losing the midfielder.
Raúl Asencio’s situation is slightly different.
The Spanish defender is available on the market, with his agent Jorge Mendes reportedly working to find him a suitable destination. However, Asencio’s current injury has complicated negotiations and reduced the number of clubs willing to make an immediate move.
Real Madrid are therefore keeping a close eye on developments.
If Camavinga or Asencio were to leave before the deadline, the club could quickly return to the transfer market in search of a replacement. The Madrid hierarchy are particularly monitoring opportunities involving central midfielders and centre-backs, two positions that could become priorities depending on departures.
An unexpected offer for another member of Mourinho’s squad could also change the situation during the final days of the window.
At the moment, however, there is no indication that Real Madrid are actively preparing another signing. The club are satisfied with the squad assembled during the summer, and Mourinho is also believed to be comfortable with the options currently available to him.
Madrid have already completed an ambitious recruitment campaign.
Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, Yan Diomandé, Carlos Espí and Denzel Dumfries have all joined the club, giving Mourinho six major reinforcements across defence, midfield and attack.
The Portuguese coach himself represents another major change, having returned to take charge of Real Madrid and begin a new chapter at the Santiago Bernabéu.

For now, therefore, the message from Madrid is clear: the transfer window is considered finished unless someone leaves.
The summer market officially closes on September 1 at 11:59 p.m., meaning Real Madrid still have several days to react to any unexpected developments.
Unless a significant departure occurs, Mourinho is expected to begin the season with the squad he currently has at his disposal.
