Juventus are still searching for their next goalkeeper after failing to make progress in their pursuit of Zion Suzuki. The Turin giants are now exploring several alternatives, with Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin emerging as one of the names on their shortlist.
The Italian club are looking to strengthen the position and have reportedly identified several possible targets. Alongside Lunin, the Italian media have also mentioned Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and Benfica’s Anatoliy Trubin as players being considered by Juventus.

Lunin’s situation at Real Madrid makes him a particularly interesting option. The 27-year-old Ukrainian is expected to remain behind Thibaut Courtois in the hierarchy this season. Despite showing his quality whenever given opportunities, Lunin has accepted the role of backup to the Belgian international.
However, the situation could still change before the summer transfer window closes.
According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Lunin has recently been offered to Juventus. While there is currently no indication that formal negotiations have started between Juventus and Real Madrid, the possibility of a transfer is reportedly being evaluated.
For Lunin, a move away from Madrid could provide the opportunity to finally establish himself as the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at a major European club. His path to the starting position at the Santiago Bernabéu remains complicated because Courtois continues to be considered Real Madrid’s number one.
Lunin is under contract with Real Madrid until 2030, meaning the Spanish giants are under no immediate pressure to sell him. Nevertheless, his long-term future in the Spanish capital remains uncertain.
Real Madrid have already started thinking about the eventual succession of Courtois, whose current contract runs until 2027. However, despite Lunin’s presence in the squad, the Ukrainian goalkeeper is reportedly not among the club’s preferred options to become the long-term number one once Courtois eventually leaves or loses his starting role.
That situation could encourage Lunin to reconsider his future, especially if Juventus are prepared to offer him a central role in their new project.

At 27, the Ukrainian has reached a stage of his career where regular playing time could become increasingly important. Remaining at Real Madrid guarantees him the opportunity to compete for major trophies, but his minutes could once again be limited as long as Courtois stays fit and maintains his status.
Juventus could therefore represent an attractive alternative. The Italian giants are looking for a goalkeeper capable of becoming a reliable long-term starter, and Lunin’s experience at Real Madrid makes him an intriguing candidate.
For now, however, Juventus are simply evaluating their options. Vicario, Trubin and Lunin all remain under consideration, and no concrete agreement has been reached with any club.
The final weeks of the transfer window could therefore prove decisive. Should Juventus decide to make an official approach, Lunin could face an important choice between continuing as Courtois’ understudy at Real Madrid or pursuing the opportunity to become a number one elsewhere.
