Decision Made: Real Madrid Chooses Its Path for Olise

The speculation surrounding Michael Olise’s future has finally come to an end. After weeks of reports linking the French international with a move to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich have firmly dismissed the rumors, insisting that the Spanish giants never made any contact regarding the winger and that a transfer was never on the table.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Olise’s name frequently appeared in Spanish and German media as a potential target for Real Madrid. Following an outstanding campaign with Bayern Munich, the former Crystal Palace star established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking players. However, Bayern’s chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has now put an end to the speculation once and for all. Speaking to reporters in Munich, the club executive categorically denied that there had ever been discussions with Real Madrid over the player’s future.

“Of course he will stay with us,” Dreesen continued. “He is a player we value enormously. He brings so much quality to our team and is a key part of our project. He was never available on the transfer market.”

Those remarks effectively end any possibility of a move during this transfer window. While Real Madrid were repeatedly linked with the 24-year-old in recent weeks, Bayern’s position has remained unchanged from the very beginning.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid continue to focus on other priorities as José Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season. The Spanish club is believed to be close to completing the signing of highly rated Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé, while Manchester City’s Rodri Hernández remains one of the club’s main midfield targets despite the complexity of that deal.
