Real vs. Real Sociedad: Ratings for the Madrid players

Real Madrid hosted Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga. The game was not always comfortable for the hosts, especially defensively in the first half, but the Madrid side gradually regained control.

Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior made the difference in attack, while Ibrahima Konaté once again confirmed his excellent start at the club.

Ibrahima Konaté	8/10	Excellent again. The Frenchman showed composure, strength and authority in his duels. His adaptation to Real Madrid continues to be impressive.
Dean Huijsen	7/10	Another convincing performance. His partnership with Konaté already looks promising and the centre-back pairing was largely dominant.
Álvaro Carreras	4/10	Struggled during the first half and was booked. He was far too passive for Real Sociedad’s goal and was replaced at half-time.
Marc Cucurella	7/10	Made a very positive impact after coming on. He completely shut down his flank defensively and also offered useful attacking support.
Federico Valverde	7/10	Full of energy and intensity. The Uruguayan was once again important in maintaining balance in midfield.
Bernardo Silva	6.5/10	Technically clean and intelligent with his movement. A solid performance, although he could have had more influence in the final third.
Arda Güler	7/10	Very active between the lines. The Turkish midfielder constantly looked to speed up Madrid’s play and create openings.
Jude Bellingham	8/10	Influential once again. The Englishman worked tirelessly and provided another assist, this time for Vinícius Júnior.
Vinícius Jr.	8/10	Rewarded with his first goal of the season. He looked dangerous whenever he accelerated and appears to be gradually returning to his best level.
Kylian Mbappé	8/10	Scored Madrid’s opening goal and constantly threatened the Sociedad defence with his runs and pace. Another decisive performance.

Konaté is already establishing himself

One of the biggest positives of the evening was undoubtedly Ibrahima Konaté. After an encouraging first appearance, the French defender delivered another high-level performance. Powerful in duels, calm when defending and confident in possession, he already looks completely comfortable in the Real Madrid shirt.

His partnership with Dean Huijsen also continues to show promise. Despite conceding a goal, the two centre-backs controlled most of their individual battles and were rarely caught out.

The main defensive disappointment was Álvaro Carreras. The full-back endured a difficult opening 45 minutes and lacked aggression on Real Sociedad’s goal. His replacement by Cucurella at half-time immediately brought greater stability to Madrid’s left side.

In attack, Real Madrid can be particularly pleased to see their biggest stars delivering. Mbappé found the back of the net, while Vinícius Jr. also opened his account for the season, finishing after being set up by Bellingham.

With Konaté already looking settled in defence and Madrid’s attacking stars beginning to find their rhythm, there were several encouraging signs for the Spanish giants despite a few difficult moments during the match.
