Real Madrid could once again strengthen their academy ranks, with the Spanish giants reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign UD Logroñés midfielder Latif Issman.

At just 19 years old, Latif Issman has emerged as one of the latest young talents to attract the attention of Real Madrid. The midfielder currently plays for UD Logroñés, where he has gradually progressed through the club’s youth system before earning opportunities with the senior team.

Issman has developed steadily over the past few seasons and is now regarded as an interesting prospect for the future. Last season, the youngster made 16 appearances for UD Logroñés’ first team in the Segunda Federación, Spain’s fourth tier, accumulating 349 minutes of senior football and scoring one goal.

Although his playing time with the first team remained relatively limited, those appearances allowed him to gain valuable experience against more physically developed and experienced opponents. At the same time, Issman continued to feature for the club’s reserve side, giving him regular opportunities to continue his development.

A €500,000 Release Clause

One of the most attractive aspects of the operation for Real Madrid is Issman’s contractual situation.

According to El Chiringuito, the midfielder currently has a release clause worth €500,000 in his contract with UD Logroñés. However, rather than simply activating the clause, Real Madrid and the player’s current club are reportedly negotiating the structure and conditions of a potential transfer.

The two clubs are believed to be attempting to reach an agreement that would satisfy all parties and allow the operation to be completed smoothly.

For Real Madrid, the relatively modest financial investment makes Issman an interesting opportunity. The Spanish giants have increasingly focused on identifying young players before their market value rises significantly, particularly for their academy and Castilla squad.

Born in November 2006, Issman is primarily listed as a midfielder and would arrive at Valdebebas as a player for the future rather than someone expected to immediately compete for a place in the senior team.

Another Bet on Youth

The potential signing would perfectly fit Real Madrid’s recent recruitment strategy.

Alongside major signings for the first team, the club continues to invest heavily in promising teenagers who could develop within the academy structure before potentially making the step up to Real Madrid Castilla and, eventually, the senior squad.

Valdebebas has long been considered one of the most important pillars of the club’s sporting project, both as a pathway for first-team players and as a source of valuable assets in the transfer market.

Issman would therefore represent another low-risk, high-potential investment for Madrid.

There is currently no official confirmation that the deal has been completed, but reports suggest that negotiations are already at an advanced stage.

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid and UD Logroñés can finalize an agreement in the coming days, but Latif Issman is now clearly one of the young players to watch as the Madrid club continues strengthening its academy for the future.
