Real Madrid have announced their squad for Sunday’s La Liga clash against Atletico Madrid on September 20.
For Matchday 7 of the Spanish league season, Real Madrid will make the short trip across the capital to the Metropolitano, where they will face city rivals Atletico Madrid in one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the weekend. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. The match will be broadcast in France on Disney+ and DAZN.

There is positive news for José Mourinho ahead of the derby, with the Portuguese coach able to count on an almost full-strength squad for this important match before the international break. As has been the case in recent weeks, only the players dealing with longer-term injuries are unavailable.
The three absentees for Real Madrid are Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Rodrygo. None of them has recovered in time to feature against Atletico.
Militao is currently the closest of the three to making his comeback. However, the Brazilian centre-back is not expected to return to competitive action until after the international break. Real Madrid’s medical staff are continuing to manage his recovery carefully, and the club does not want to take any unnecessary risks.
Despite those absences, Mourinho will have plenty of options when selecting his starting XI. Real Madrid possess considerable depth across every area of the pitch, which should also give the coach several alternatives from the bench depending on how the derby develops.
Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin and Sergio Mestre make up the goalkeeping department. In defence, Mourinho has included Raul Asencio, Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella, Álvaro Carreras, Antonio Rüdiger and Denzel Dumfries.
The midfield also offers a wide range of profiles. Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Arda Güler, Bernardo Silva and Pitarch have all been selected.
In attack, Real Madrid will be able to rely on Vinicius Junior, Endrick, Kylian Mbappé, Carlos Espi, Brahim Diaz and Yan Diomandé.
